Jamie

Jamie with his little ukulele in his hand

With apologies to George Formby, here is Jamie with his little ukulele in his hand. This baritone was expertly made by Thom Breeze of Captain Cook on the Big Island of Hawaii. It's had nothing but trouble since arriving in Arizona, but still has that sweet sound Thom created. Rainbow instrument repairs on Campbell here in Tucson has done a heroic job repairing the splits and warps caused by the desert dryness. It suffers when left out of its case, but is still playable for a while, before I have to put it back to 'bed'.

The big question is, how can people live without having an ukulele? I couldn't. And I'm looking forward to getting a new tenor ukulele when I next visit Hawaii.
